After School/Holiday Club
Welcome to the High Down After School Club section of the High Down School website, with lots of important information for you about the clubs we run before school and after school as well as during holidays.
First and foremost, our commitment is to provide a very high standard of care for your children in line with the latest OFSTED regulations. The children are looked after by caring and well-trained staff in a cheerful, safe and secure environment on High Down Junior School premises. The club is open to all children aged between reception and year 6. Recently, the club was granted permission to increase the number of children. At the same time they actively took into use the new bright school atrium for play activities. This means that on most days there is now available room for a few additional children.
A committee of about 10 people representing the school, the parents, the staff and the local community oversees the business aspects and long term development of the club. This is a fun and interesting way of helping the school and pupils to succeed and prosper. Please contact Marie Young (Chairman) via the club on 01275 817870.
Every year the High Down After School Club donates a significant amount of money towards improvement projects in the school, for example towards books for the school library. When you support the club - you support the school.
The day-to-day management of the club is the responsibility of Club Manager Linda Croshaw. For any questions, suggestions or to find out about availability please call us on Tel: 01275 817870
