What to Wear

Frequently, parents and visitors to the school comment on how smart our children look and, indeed, the high standard of uniform in the school is often cited among the many reasons why parents choose the school. We expect our children to wear their uniform with pride and it is apparent that the vast majority share in this ambition.  Please see below on what the children should wear.  If you have any queries at all, please speak to Mrs Tanner or Mrs Mounter in the school office.

Trousers/Skirts:

For Boys: Grey, navy or black trousers/shorts

For Girls: Navy or grey skirt. Grey, navy or black trousers.  Gingham blue summer dress

Polo Shirts/Sweatshirts:

For Boys: Navy sweatshirt, Sky blue polo shirt or shirt

For Girls: Navy sweatshirt or cardigan, Sky blue polo shirt or blouse

Footwear:

Children are allowed to wear black school shoes or trainers. Children should not wear fluorescent trainers. Plain black trainers are acceptable.

PE/swimming/games:

Plain light blue or white t-shirt - this could be the school branded PE t-shirt (no football shirts)

Pair of dark blue or black shorts

Pair of trainers (not those worn as school uniform, if possible)

Tracksuit bottoms for colder weather

Swimming costume or trunks (not bikini or long shorts)

House Colours Day:

On House Colour days the children are allowed to wear a t-shirt that is house coloured (plain) with school trousers/skirt and their usual school shoes. We sell plain red, blue, green and yellow t-shirts at an approximate cost of £2.00.  Please see the office if you would like to purchase one of these.

Earrings and hair wear:

  • Earrings for school should be safe and functional. Stud earrings are acceptable, other types of earrings should not be worn.
  • Children with long hair will be required to have their hair tied back for P.E. so a hair band at school is a must.

Children have ample time to wear their own clothes at home and experiment with their own style. The school uniform for a school sets a standard. It demonstrates how as a school we are a community all sharing in the same goals and aspirations.  Thank you for your support in achieving this.
