The Venue to Hire for Any Occasion

If you are one of the following we can help.....

  • A Youth or Community Group in need of a venue for regular meetings?
  • Looking for a Hall or Classroom for Seminars, Barn Dances, Birthday Parties or Music Rehearsals?
  • Looking for a classroom with up to the minute, state of the art facilities - Computers, Internet and Interactive Whiteboards?
  • Have a one-off requirement when your regular venue is not available?
  • A Junior Football or Netball Team and have nowhere to play or train?

High Down Junior School was opened in 1969 with facilities to cater for over 360 pupils. The school overlooks the picturesque Gordano Valley and is set in extensive grounds with playing fields and hard standing areas. 

We are only 10 minutes from Junction 19 on the M5, with easy access to the school site which lies off Down Road. There is off road parking for up to 25 cars. Should it be necessary there is space for up to 75 cars to park on our lower playground - access to this is via The Downs. The school offers level, well-lit walkways around the main building, with ramps being included for wheelchair access.

The governors of the school are keen for the facility to be used for out of school activities and have made available the school hall, adjoining changing rooms, classrooms and the school playing field.  Each space is provided with heating, power and lighting. By separate arrangements with our catering staff, supervised use can also be made of the School Kitchens.

                                                                                                                                                        The school is owned by North Somerset Council, so there would be just a few simple procedures that the hirer must comply with and a copy of the School's Lettings Policy is  available below to give you full details of the terms and conditions or is available on request form.
