Each year children in classes throughout the school vote for the boy and girl they would like to represent them on the School Council.

The School Council is very important and all children see it as a way of giving them a say in what happens in the school and how it develops.
Once elected, the children meet to elect a Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary, who organise the meetings and set the agendas.
Issues are discussed by all classes and then raised by council representatives at full meetings. Decisions are then fed back to classes through meetings and School Council notice boards around the school. The council are also producing a monthly newsletter.
In 2006 - 2007, the Parents Association gave the council £5000. After a consultation period the council used the money to provide an extension the Adventure Play Area and also for additional seating around the playground.
