Lost Property

Lost Property is always an issue at school and there is already a growing mound of lost property! Thankfully many items have names on and are able to be returned to the owners. Please ensure that ALL items of school uniform, coats, PE kit etc are:

• clearly named by the collar or waist band.
• check after washing as writing fades and is often illegible
• check that the label doesn't say an elder brother or sister's name who has now left!

If your child has ‘lost' an item(s), he/she should look in the classroom, cloakroom area and in lost property. The lost property area is by the school kitchen/door to the car park. You are welcome come in to school to look through these lost property black bins, if items are missing and your child has searched the above areas and been unable to find it.

All named items sent to lost property are returned to the child's class. School uniform items without a name are kept as spares and we sometimes have a sale if the pile gets too high! Other items e.g. coats, plain jumpers, sportswear with no name are kept in school for a week and then taken for recycling.

Sandwich boxes left in the hall need to be collected that day or the next and are thrown away if not named. Again, it is important to put your child's name on the sandwich box so that it can be returned to the child.

If everything has names on nothing will be lost for very long! Many thanks for your support
